  1. A degree in Biomedical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University, acceptable for membership of Engineers Australia (as Professional Engineer), Or advanced diploma in electronics(or equivalent) plus extensive Biomedical Engineering Field Experience.
  2. High level of expertise and knowledge of biomedical asset management, and an ability to develop and lead solutions for biomedical assets/device seamless integration with digital health (IT).
  3. Excellent strategic planning and policy development skills with proven leadership and management skills, and an ability to create and maintain a positive productive team culture.
  4. Superior communication skills, including negotiation, interpersonal and liaison skills.
  5. Superior analytical, organisational, and conceptual skills to allow the position holder to develop, recommend and evaluate innovative equipment management strategies in response to needs.
  6. Demonstrated ability to manage clinical technology, including planning, acquisition, implementation, maintenance and disposal.
  7. Demonstrated contract management skills. Demonstrated understanding of key healthcare delivery and financing issues. Computer skills including the ability to use common word processing, presentation, spread sheet, and database tools.
  8. Solutions based mind set to meet and exceed compliance and safety outcomes for services, the department and the District.
  9. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
