About the Opportunity
We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in workforce management and HR experience for our Service Manager role. As the Service Manager, you will lead and support clinic staff to ensure smooth operations and high standards. Key responsibilities include setting goals, guiding teams to meet targets, managing HR processes, and ensuring everything stays on track. This role also involves planning, overseeing daily operations, and traveling between clinics to support staff and address challenges as they arise.
You’ll work closely with diverse teams, including dental clinic staff, senior district leaders, and support departments like HR and Finance. You’ll also collaborate with community partners to improve service access and quality. This role will connect you with many people, all dedicated to providing outstanding dental care across South Western Sydney Local Health District.
What You'll be Doing
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership, guidance, supervision and management of staff and services across Oral Health Clinics in the South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD). The Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring strategic development goals and performance targets are successfully met for each of the Oral Health Clinics and the role will involve travel across the SWSLHD.

- Health related tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated management and high level of leadership skills including proven negotiation skills and experience in working with multicultural staff and consumers
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and experience working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated high quality organisational skills and ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Significant experience in supervision, professional development, continuous quality improvement and coaching of staff across multiple sites
- Demonstrated knowledge of corporate and clinical risk management and understanding of work health and safety requirements including workers compensation
- Demonstrated understanding of information management systems including, data bases and Microsoft applications
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
