  2. Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia. Recent, extensive and varied post graduate clinical experience as a level 2 Speech Pathologist or above.
  3. Demonstrated current clinical knowledge in the management of adult dysphagia and communication disorders in the ENT/ H&N caseload including advanced clinical skills and knowledge in Laryngectomy and speech pathology H&N cancer management and a high level of contemporary interventional speech pathology skills.  
  4. Demonstrated extensive skills and knowledge in instrumental assessment of swallowing, including VFSS & FEES. 
  5. Extensive experience in tailoring verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills for internal and external service providers. Demonstrated proficient computer literacy and ability to confidently use health information systems.
  6. Demonstrated experience in, leading, initiating, mentoring, completing and presenting quality improvement activities, research and service evaluation process. Extensive experience in clinical teaching and supervision for students and allied health staff.
  7. Extended skills and specialised knowledge in the provision of current clinical speech pathology practice. Ability to take responsibility for the delivery of evidence-based practice for consumers, carers and families.
  8. Proven ability to work autonomously. With confidence, has the ability to prioritise work, manage conflicting demand, monitor individual performance, problem solve and utilise independent professional judgement.
