The position is the operational onsite supervisor who has responsibility for Security Services during rostered shifts. This position reports to the Security Manager and is the principal contact for the facility afterhours in relation to Security. This role has a strong emphasis on shift management and team engagement in addition to standard Security staff duties. Working in a multi-faceted health facility, the role has a strong emphasis on positive engagement with clinical teams, patients and their families in the provision of security services for the protection of people, property and crime prevention within Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) facilities and properties serviced by SLHD Security. This includes taking pro-active steps in the early identification and prevention of incidents.
Ideal Candidate
- Licenced according to the Security Industry Act 1997 – Class 1 A
- Holds a current Senior First Aid Certificate and current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
- Must have the ability to perform 12 hour shift work on a 24/7 rotating roster across the facilities within the District.
- Has relevant experience and demonstrated leadership of a team, including ability to motivate, co-ordinate and supervise staff within a shift.
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management or equivalent or willingness to undertake within 6 months of commencement together with a willingness to undertake required professional development to support the requirements of the role in relation to training.
