Where you'll be working
Responsible to the Head of Dept. Head & Neck Surgery for the provision of surgical services, including research, patient care and undergraduate/postgraduate teaching as appropriate to the diagnosis and treatment of surgical patients. The Senior registrar is also responsible for the maintenance of quality of all aspects of their service delivery and the efficient use of resources within Western Sydney Local Health District. Appointees may be required to participate in other on call rosters at nominated facilities within West Sydney Local Health District as deterred by clinical operations.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Must have obtained fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent
- Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices that support credentialing to the position and are commensurate with the scope of practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
- Sound clinical knowledge in general surgery/ head and neck surgery demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated ability working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience and involvement in quality assurance activities and evidence based best practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching and supervision.
- Familiarity with research concepts and commitment to support basic, applied or clinical research within the Department.
