  1. Recognised formal Tertiary qualifications within Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Systems Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Management and/or demonstrated similar relevant discipline experience.
  2. Demonstrated extensive experience and understanding of managing asset classes, with a thorough strategic and operational knowledge of asset lifecycle management, and business case development.
  3. Strong capability and demonstrated experience in: • financial and commercial management, • NSW government procurement best practices, • problem-identification-and-solving; • managing the implementation and delivery of resilient and efficient customer focused asset services servicing multiple sites
  4. Extensive asset data base experience and advanced ability to: • run, reconcile and manipulate significant amounts of asset data to report to senior executives, • analyse complex issues, problem solving, formulating new approaches and implementing comprehensive change programs and improvement strategies, including the ability to develop and monitor outcomes, setting direction, and articulating and driving strategic asset business management, • produce timely high-level sound reports, business analytics and professional presentations within short time frames, with clarity, accuracy, relevance, options-analysis and recommendations
  5. Demonstrated experience in successfully driving change and improving asset management outcomes in a large and complex organisation, leading to improved resilience, efficiencies, safety, sustainability, and management systems, lower operating costs, and robust and positive preventative maintenance (over and above reactive, routine and statutory maintenance and repairs).
  6. Ability to engage and collaborate to build sustainable, trusting working relationships (based on integrity and collaboration) to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, in a high pressure environment, with proven excellence and ability in: • managing people, systems and processes along with highly developed communication (verbal and written), coaching, facilitation, stakeholder management and negotiation skills, • articulating strategic priorities and plans to executives, managers, end users and support staff.
  7. Demonstrated experience in risk management and asset condition management, including the development and implementation of strategic asset management planning, quality maintenance procedures and lifecycle modelling
  8. An understanding of ICT management systems related to Asset Maintenance Management (such as AFM Online) with ability to provide strategic advice and project management of ongoing development to suit District needs (current and future).
