Keeping People Healthy is a bold strategy encompassing a holistic approach that considers the distinct needs and circumstances of communities in south west Sydney.
The Senior Project Officer will support the implementation of Keeping People Healthy collaborating with key partners across the local health district.
We’re looking for a highly motivated population health practitioner who has demonstrated delivery of evidence based initiatives to improve health outcomes.
What You'll be Doing
The Senior Project Officer will lead planning, implementation and evaluation of agreed priorities between SWSLHD and key internal and external partners. This includes a range of project management and administrative functions. The program of work will vary with a focus on health and wellbeing initiatives tailored to meet the specific needs of the community.

- Tertiary qualifications in science, health or related field, or relevant work experience. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
- Experience working within a project environment with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks in a high volume and demanding environment with a proven ability to prioritise competing timelines and achieve results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal staff at various levels and external stakeholders to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in change management and project management including the ability to plan, design, implement, monitor and evaluate new programs and services.
- Sound problem solving skills and high-level analytical skills including the ability to interpret information to deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
