About the role:

This role is in the Strategic Reform and Planning Branch which leads and supports health system reform, including NSW Health’s 10-year Future Health Strategy. We are a fast-paced, collaborative Branch, which will see you working with high level internal and external stakeholders. We support strategic reforms by ‘joining the dots’, improving alignment and coordination across key areas and programs, and developing the strategic narrative.

 

In this role you will be managing projects and developing policies that shape the future direction of the NSW health system.

 

Health Manager level 3, starting salary from $127,150 - $144,444, plus Super, with a 38-hour work week.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

The Senior Policy and Project Officer coordinates and contributes to the development and implementation of a range of projects and policy initiatives that supports the achievement of NSW Health's strategic system priorities.

 

The role performs project support, project management and policy development activities and provides informed advice to the Director to enable the Strategic Reform and Planning Branch to oversee and deliver reforms that support the future vision for the health system.

 

You will be preparing insightful briefs and reports that help to ‘join the dots’ across complex policy areas and programs; facilitate collaboration between multiple stakeholders to develop and implement projects; and apply your problem solving skills to identify opportunities, improve alignment and recommend solutions.

 

About you:

  • Flexible and pro-active thinking to plan and manage projects
  • Excellent skills in developing collaborative relationships to agree on solutions in a complex environment with manage competing stakeholder perspectives.
