Senior Podiatrist – High Risk Foot Clinic- $10k plus $5k Incentives Offered
Orange Health Service

About the role
A new leadership opportunity in allied health for a senior podiatrist to manage our new high risk foot service.
Based at the Orange health service, you will be responsible for establishing the high risk foot clinic and outreach to surrounding towns and southern sector.
As we establish a consistent model of care across the Western NSW LHD you’ll collaborate with colleagues at the clinic in Dubbo and across the district towards implementation.
In this role you will work with existing medical services to provide an evidenced based service to patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. You’ll bring a high level of expertise, knowledge and advanced reasoning and practice skills to meet the complexity of conditions such as ulceration, infection, neuro-arthropathy and amputation.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team that includes a dietician, social worker, Aboriginal health worker, allied health assistant and diabetes educator. To
promote the quality and safety of services, you’ll provide clinical supervision and support to Level 1 and 2 staff, allied health assistants and students.
We offer flexible work practices, training, development, clinical research opportunities and a District wide network of support. The role will suit a motivated and driven person with experience in service development and an interest in leading patient safety and quality initiatives, with strong advocacy skills to escalate care needs of the high risk foot clinic cohort.
