About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Transitional Aged Care Program. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. This position involves delivery of community based occupational therapy assessment and treatment to patients on the Transitional Aged Care Program. This position is responsible for the clinical supervision of junior staff and/or allied health assistants. This role may involve provision of community based occupational therapy assessment and intervention for clients in the Commonwealth Home Support Programme Occupational therapy team. The Level 3 Occupational Therapist is expected to participate in quality improvement activities and relevant research. This position may also assist in development of policies and procedures and supervision of Occupational Therapy students on placement.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Occupational Therapist who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are experienced in the provision of Occupational Therapy delivery of care to older people in the community, passionate about delivering excellent care to older people, experienced in clinical supervision of junior Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants, and who are friendly and excited to join our supportive team.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2.Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA Occupational Therapy registration
3. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision and extensive experience in the provision of clinical supervision and leadership to Occupational Therapists, support staff and students
4. Demonstrated advanced assessment, clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based intervention for the client group (aged care, chronic & complex care) with extensive clinical experience in home visits and community based rehabilitation
5. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and to apply advanced clinical reasoning skills and independent professional judgement
6. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality initiatives and service evaluation processes
7. Current Class C Driver's Licence
