Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligible for membership with AASW. Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy or Psychology (with a minimum four-year degree with a major in Psychology and registration with the Psychologists Board of Australia) and registered with AHPRA. For Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2: registered with AHPRA and relevant post graduate qualifications in specialty field and at least 3 years recent experience working in the specialty clinical area.
  2. Extensive experience in mental health clinical and vocational rehabilitation with knowledge of best practice principles and models of practice; and ability to plan, implement and evaluate individual and group rehabilitation programs
  3. Demonstrated commitment to consumer participation, and a strengths based and recovery focused approach in service provision
  4. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels
  5. Ability to provide in-depth advice, education and supervision to staff to enhance service excellence
  6. Ability to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or complex nature
  7. Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement and service evaluation processes
  8. Current class C NSW Driver’s License
