  1. Current registration with the nursing and midwifery board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and post graduate qualifications in the relevant field; or Bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or Must hold qualifications recognised for general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or Current full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with a four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology, or a qualification deemed equivalent by the employer and have completed a minimum of one year at the 9th year of service and thereafter point on the salary scale psychologist.
  2. Approved post registration tertiary qualification relevant to adult mental health, perinatal and infant mental health or extensive clinical practice in the field of mental health.
  3. Demonstrates high level clinical skills to provide consultancy service and work in collaborative relationships with other health professionals and stakeholders from a range of disciplines, to support delivery of evidence-based interventions to families in the perinatal period.
  4. Demonstrates an understanding of evidence-based interventions and the complexity and impact of parental mental illness and psychosocial vulnerabilities on pregnancy, parental ability, the parent-child relationship, and child development.
  5. Demonstrated strategic leadership skills with the ability to implement change across services with a multidisciplinary workforce to deliver integrated services.
  6. Experience in the delivery and evaluation of professional development activities.
  7. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels and demonstrated competence in the use of electronic information systems.
  8. Current NSW unrestricted drivers’ licence with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
