- Current registration with the nursing and midwifery board of Australia with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and post graduate qualifications in the relevant field; or Bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers; or Must hold qualifications recognised for general registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia; or Current full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with a four year degree in psychology, being a three year degree with a fourth year honours in psychology, or a qualification deemed equivalent by the employer and have completed a minimum of one year at the 9th year of service and thereafter point on the salary scale psychologist.
- Approved post registration tertiary qualification relevant to adult mental health, perinatal and infant mental health or extensive clinical practice in the field of mental health.
- Demonstrates high level clinical skills to provide consultancy service and work in collaborative relationships with other health professionals and stakeholders from a range of disciplines, to support delivery of evidence-based interventions to families in the perinatal period.
- Demonstrates an understanding of evidence-based interventions and the complexity and impact of parental mental illness and psychosocial vulnerabilities on pregnancy, parental ability, the parent-child relationship, and child development.
- Demonstrated strategic leadership skills with the ability to implement change across services with a multidisciplinary workforce to deliver integrated services.
- Experience in the delivery and evaluation of professional development activities.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to negotiate and liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels and demonstrated competence in the use of electronic information systems.
- Current NSW unrestricted drivers’ licence with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
