Senior Mental Health Clinician – Safeguards Acute Child & Adolescent Mental Health Response Team
Mental Health Drug & Alcohol - Bathurst

About the role

The Safeguards Team is a new dedicated resource designed to provide innovative and best practice care to children and adolescents aged 0-17 years experiencing acute mental health distress. The team is community based and provides rapid, mobile and flexible care to resolve mental health crisis, including assertive outreach, care coordination and time-limited therapeutic interventions across the district. The Safeguards team provides specialist mental health services across the district with the team not being located in one specific location. 

The Safeguards Team is a multi-disciplinary team where location is negotiable across Dubbo, Orange, Bathurst, Cowra, Mudgee, Parkes & Forbes. 

The Safeguards Team operates 7 days/week with extended hours on weekdays, and will respond to young people in their schools, homes and communities and in hospital-based settings (EDs/Wards), through face to face, phone and telehealth appointments.

The positions will be required to work a 7 day rotating roster with proposed shifts being Monday to Friday 10am – 6:30pm / 12:30pm – 9pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am – 6:30pm.
