About the Role

Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.

  

The Senior MRS is responsible for the provision, scheduling and supervision of services within a section of the Department of Molecular Imaging (PET & Nuclear Medicine; ‘the Department’), under the direction of the Deputy Chief MRS and Chief MRS. The Senior MRS is required to perform clinical duties in PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine to a high standard and assist the Chief MRS in ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the Department and with the supervision of Level 1-3 MRS staff.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Science) Nuclear Medicine, Licenced with the EPA and AHPRA Registration. 
  • Documented extensive experience performing PET-CT and general nuclear medicine scans/procedures. 
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated high level organisational skills including goal achievement, workload prioritisation and problem solving. 
  • Demonstrated skills in the development of protocols and standard operating procedures. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multidisciplinary health care environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to instruct MRS, students and other health workers in appropriate techniques.
