Selection Criteria: 

  1. Undergraduate degree in Physical Sciences from a recognised tertiary institution as well as a Postgraduate degree (or equivalent) in Medical Physics, or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution
  2. Eligible for Current certification with ACPSEM as a qualified medical physics specialist in Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics (Radiology).
  3. A minimum of 5 years (post ACPSEM certification or equivalent) of clinical experience in the field of radiology physics, including experience in the delivery of professional education within the Medical Physics context
  4. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of medical physicists and work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team
  5. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of medical physicists and work as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team
  6. Familiarity with the ACPSEM Training, Education and Assessment Program and its requirements for facility accreditation as a training centre with an ability to train Registrars in Diagnostic Imaging Medical Physics.
  7. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with higher education institutions or universities in areas of teaching and research
  8. Ability to meet progression criteria for Senior Medical Physics Specialist as per the NSW Public Hospital Medical Physicists Award
