Are you ready to ensure integrity and drive excellence as a Senior Internal Auditor for SESLHD?

The Internal Audit Unit provides a wide range of assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the district’s operations. An excellent opportunity now exists for a professional with an inquiring mind to join our team.

Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, you will support and assist the team in managing the completion of the Strategic Internal Audit Plan and other special projects. The role will be part of the partnership with management in the district to embed assurance and internal controls within business processes.

What you'll be doing
 
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will lead and manage the Internal Audit team, ensuring delivery of high-quality audits across financial operations, internal controls, and risk management. You will oversee and conduct operational audits, clinical audits, and special investigations, applying a risk-based approach to assess and enhance governance processes.

Using strong data analytics, you will provide valuable insights and deliver audit reports that drive improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance. You will contribute to the development of audit programs, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to enhance audit methodologies and practices.

In this role, you will also mentor and develop internal audit staff, manage resources effectively, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your leadership will help shape the audit function, ensuring it provides meaningful recommendations that enhance the organisation’s overall performance and accountability.
