Selection Criteria
- Qualifications in Industrial Relations, HR Management, Law or other related qualifications and/or detailed practical experience in industrial relations matters.
- Detailed knowledge of contemporary employment relations and human resource issues affecting large complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in providing high quality strategic employment relations advice and services (including negotiations with industrial associations, advocacy experience, award and legislation interpretation and application) and supporting processes in a high volume work area and within agreed timeframes.
- High level analytical and problem solving skills that lead to the development of innovative solutions to complex workplace issues.
- Extensive experience dealing with workplace disputes, grievances and representations to the Industrial Relations Commission/Statutory bodies including preparing and presenting matters before tribunals.
- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills (including negotiation skills and presentation skills).
- Demonstrated sound knowledge of the NSW Industrial Relations system.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations.
