Head to Health Kids hub is a new community based service providing care navigation, tailored support, specialist assessment and treatment, for children up to 12 years with mild to moderate emotional, behaviour and mental health challenges, and their family.

Located in Orange with satellite services in Bathurst, you’ll use the full range of your clinical and assessment skills, establishing new flexible and creative approaches to increase the well-being and functioning of our clients, from the hub, in the community, virtually, and in the home.

You’ll be joining an experienced and skilled multidisciplinary team, who share similar goals, and who’ll support and work collaboratively with you to build client capacity and future outlook.

As the Clinical Leader at Head to Health Kids, you’ll provide clinical and operational leadership for the Head to Health Kids Hub, delivering community-based services to children (0-12 years) experiencing mild to moderate mental health and well-being challenges. You’ll guide services with a child centred approach and a broader to focus on families and carers clients to provide a truly wholistic health service to our community.

You’ll use your leadership skills to oversee high quality service delivery of the multidisciplinary team, providing guidance in triage, assessment, case formulation and treatment, and creating an environment of flexible practice and adaptive interventions for a range of behavioural, emotional, psychosocial and health problems with Head to Health Kids Hub staff and external service providers.

You’ll have the benefit of practicing within an experienced multidisciplinary team including allied health, nursing and medical staff allowing you to utilise the extended resources of a Hub based service, which will add to the scope of the support you’ll receive and be able to provide.

As well as your direct clinical role, you’ll be a driver of the ongoing development of the service, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future direction of a new and dynamic service, and will assist in building capacity within the Hub, and in the community to enhance supports for children and families.

You’ll be the driving force in our purpose - to prevent and relieve distress, to collaboratively support children’s well-being and quality of life goals, and to increase functioning for children and their families.

This is a temporarily funded position until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
