The Audiology Service at Westmead Hospital performs standard diagnostic audiological assessments (PTA, immittance testing, speech testing and OAEs) and advanced diagnostic assessments (ABR and vestibular function testing). The ideal candidate should possess experience in both areas but candidates with proven experience in standard audiological assessment and a willingness to learn advanced diagnostic assessments are encouraged to apply.

What you'll be doing


This role provides audiological services to Western Sydney Local Health District. In this role you will conduct Audiology specific work of using professional initiative and judgement to contribute to overall clinical management.
This role supports the head of department to contribute to the development of teaching, research and clinical practice initiatives and advancements for the Audiology Service and for the Allied Health Directorate.

Essential Criteria

Qualification: Must hold a Master’s degree in clinical audiology which provides eligibility for full membership of the Audiological Society of Australia, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer

Selection Criteria

  1. Full Membership of Audiology Australia
  2. Substantial postgraduate clinical experience in Diagnostic Audiology
  3. Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  4. Demonstrated effective communication and computer skills.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
