Senior Accountant ISLHD District Clinical Services

Selection Criteria

1. Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business management, economics or related discipline or other relevant experience. Membership of (or studying towards) a relevant professional association is desirable.
2. Prior experience, preferably within the Health Sector, in Finance or Business Management roles.
3. Proven ability to help non-financial staff to understand their costs and resources to assist them in managing the resources for which they are responsible.
4. Demonstrated capacity for lateral thinking and able to demonstrate creativity and innovation in the performance of work.
5. Ability to undertake challenging financial analysis using various statistical and/or analytical techniques.
6. High level computer skills in all Microsoft applications as well as high level oral and written communication, negotiation, liaison, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
7. Proven ability to maintain accuracy of data and reporting of financial and other business information.
8. Understanding of contemporary health policy, issues and knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and their application in the public health system.
