This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent through parentage, identify as an Aboriginal person and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).

Tertiary qualifications in social science, health or related field.

Experience in leading a multidisciplinary team to deliver culturally responsive health services or programs to Aboriginal community.

Extensive experience in Aboriginal focused health promotion program design, implementation and evaluation within an evidence based framework.

Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal concepts of health and well-being and how these principles can be practically applied in health services or programs.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate with internal and external program partners to achieve successful program implementation and sustainability.

Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and coordinate professional staff and to work within an action oriented multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated high-level organisational, communication skills and computer skills, including the preparation of briefs, correspondence and performance reports.
