About the Role

Royal Prince Alfred is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and offers speciality services from its main campus as well as from Institute of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and Dame Edith Walker Hospitals. RPAH is one of Australia's leading hospitals, providing an extensive range of diagnostic and treatment services. Its specialities include cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, cancer, respiratory medicine, neurology, liver and kidney transplants.

  

Working in a multi-faceted health facility, the role has a strong emphasis on positive engagement with clinical teams, patients and their families in the provision of security services for the protection of people, property and crime prevention within Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) facilities and properties serviced by SLHD Security.  This includes taking pro-active steps in the early identification and prevention of incidents.

Ideal Candidate

  • Able to perform 12 hour shift work on a 24/7 rotating roster across the facilities within the District.
  • Licenced according to the Security Industry Act 1997 - Class 1 A and holds a current Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Has current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Demonstrated intermediate level computer operating skills e.g. through experience with contemporary electronic security alarm monitoring systems - Access building control, CCTV surveillance, data entry, and Radio communications.
