About the Opportunity
We are offering a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Embryologist within a leadership role to be at the forefront of reproductive science. As Head of Embryology at the Fertility Research Centre, a prestigious collaboration between the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the Local Health District, you will play a pivotal role in shaping clinical excellence and driving groundbreaking research.
This is a full-time role that involves some shift work. We are seeking a motivated leader with demonstrated experience guiding teams through RTAC accreditation. What you'll be doing
Interested in joining Australia’s largest public pathology service? Apply now by addressing the following questions:
- Higher degree, (PhD, Masters or Postgraduate diploma) in reproductive biology, or equivalent qualification, with subjects relevant to pathology from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of ART laboratory experience inclusive of recent experience in a managerial and/ or supervisory role.
- Fully trained in all assisted reproductive technologies including ICSI and embryo biopsy for PGS.
- Demonstrated understanding and sound knowledge of RTAC accreditation frameworks, relevant standards and quality systems.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and professional networks in a specialty of pathology relevant to the laboratory, and understanding of the role and function of public laboratories within the Australian and NSW health systems
- Advanced knowledge and operating competency with Laboratory Information Systems, Microsoft Office applications and Quality Management Systems and proven data analysis skills
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service with a high level of interpersonal, communication, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and interact professionally with a diverse range of people at all levels.
