  1. Tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership as per essential requirements.
  2. Post graduate experience in delivery of suicide prevention support services with focus on situational distress, recovery orientated service provision, trauma informed care, safety planning and managing risk.
  3. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including providing leadership to Suicide Prevention Workers (peer & clinical) and to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
  4. Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including clinical services throughout all organisational levels to enhance pathways and transfer between care settings.
  5. Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence in suicide prevention, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
  6. The ability to initiate, lead, complete co-design quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
  7. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
  8. Strong computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office and experience with relevant Health related computer programs
