Sydney Children's Hospitals Network is the largest paediatric health care entity in Australia. We care for thousands of children each year in our hospitals and in their homes — with one purpose in mind — to help young people live their healthiest lives.
What you'll be doing
Maintenance and expansion of traditional and virtual library services and resources in a timely and curated fashion, while being cognisant of new and developing information technologies and services.
Maintenance and advancement of cooperative/networking arrangements with library partners locally, state-wide, nationally and internationally.
To increase the educational opportunities for SCHN staff in the use of technology to gain access to information and further improve their use of information to achieve the Network’s mission.
To both raise the profile of the Library within the Network, and the awareness amongst all staff of the services available.
About You
- Has an accredited undergraduate or postgraduate university course. in librarianship and eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
- Demonstrates skills in library management, budgeting, staff management including team building and leadership and high level of computer literacy.
- Values knowledge of trends and developments in Libraries especially in the area of information technology.
