What you'll be doing
Sydney Children’s Hospital aims to provide world class Paediatric health care in a family focused, healing environment. 
 
The Logistics Manager is responsible for providing a high-quality and efficient logistics service to support the Sydney Childrens Hospital in providing safe and effective healthcare services. The role is responsible for managing the stores, loading dock, mail distribution, gas distribution, laboratory supplies and other logistics services.
 
This position has a strong supervisory focus, overseeing staff in stores, mail distribution, gas distribution, laboratory supplies, and loading dock operations. The Logistics Manager is also responsible for identifying process improvements, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring cost-effective procurement and distribution of supplies.
  1. Extensive experience in procurement and logistics preferably in a hospital setting.
  2. Demonstrated supervisory experience in the operations of stores, including organising of workflows and staff whilst adhering to 'First In, First Out' (FIFO) principles.
  3. Demonstrated good computer skills and experience in the use of an electronic Procurement Information System such as Oracle (specifically purchasing / goods receipting functionality).
  4. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and professional practices including, Work Health and Safety, manual handling principles and Infection Control guidelines within the health system.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to the provision of high-level quality and customer focused services
  6. Ability to analyse and develop solutions for day-to-day store issues / problems using problem solving techniques.
