About The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic research administration team, overseeing the SWSLHD Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and all matters relating to research governance. This role is responsible for the research ethics and governance team.
This role is based at the Liverpool Hospital Eastern Campus.

Liverpool Hospital Eastern Campus is an integral part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct, focusing on education, research, and specialised healthcare services.
This campus supports various training programs and events, such as advanced trauma days and emergency resuscitation courses, enhancing the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals.
Located in Warwick Farm, the Eastern Campus is easily accessible and plays a crucial role in fostering innovation and excellence in healthcare within the South Western Sydney Local Health District.

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent, relevant experience and/or training.
- Outline your understanding of the health and medical research environment in Australia and related legislation, codes and guidelines relevant to clinical and research ethics, including the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, relevant privacy acts and guidelines, the Human Tissue Act.
- Provide examples of your research experience in a health setting or experience in a health services environment with proven experience in research project management, including submission and communication with an Ethics Committee.
- Can you describe your understanding of Governance matters for research applications, including indemnity and insurance arrangement clinical trials agreements and/or contractual arrangements for research projects.
- How do you demonstrate high level oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, such as negotiation and report writing applicable in both a research and administrative context?
- Can you give examples of how you use your organisational skills to successfully prioritise and manage competing issues and meet deadlines?
- Describe your experience in using office computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and data bases.
