Hunter New England Local Health District has three sexual health clinics; Pacific Clinic in Newcastle, Clinic 468 in Tamworth and Taree Sexual Health in Taree.

Pacific Clinic is a small, collaborative team supported by a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) in sexual health and HIV, experienced medical practitioners, and a social worker.

Pacific Clinic provides free and confidential services targeting people most at risk of sexually transmissible infections (STI).

Pacific Clinic is a five day a week service operating between the hours of 8.30am – 5.00 pm or 10.30am – 7.00 pm for outreach clinics.

  • Information and advice on sexual health and STIs
  • Pre and Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP and PrEP) for people at risk of contracting HIV
  • Vaccinations

New clinic nurses are supported by experienced nursing staff and the CNC to acquire the skills required to perform the tasks above.
