A vacancy exists in the Northern Beaches early psychosis service for an experienced and skilled mental health nurse. Northern Beaches Early Psychosis Intervention Service (EPIS) a community-based service providing care and treatment for young adults aged 16-24 with a first episode psychosis and their families.

What you'll be doing
The role entails care coordination of a small case load.
This includes: Counselling, psychoeducation, advocacy, carer support, family work, group work, and liaison with external agencies and care providers.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered Nurse – Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Registered Nurse with advanced clinical expertise in working in a community setting with people with complex mental health presentations.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of young adults’ mental health problems and family relationship problems.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work within an MDT with high level of autonomy.
  5. Demonstrated ability to contribute to the teaching and learning capacity of the team including student supervision and training, and quality improvement.
  6. Current NSW Drivers Licence.
