About the role:

This position offers the opportunity to work within a flexible, rotating roster system, allowing you to maintain a balanced and dynamic work schedule while providing exceptional patient care. In the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in caring for patients across all areas, responding to a wide variety of acute conditions and emergencies. Your expertise will be vital in delivering high-quality, timely care to patients experiencing medical crises, trauma, or other urgent health issues.
Additionally, in the General Ward, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to both medical and surgical patients. This involves managing a range of patient needs, from pre-operative assessments and post-surgical recovery to supporting those with chronic illnesses or acute medical conditions. Throughout both areas, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each patient receives personalized, holistic care aimed at achieving the best possible outcomes. This position provides a great opportunity to develop a broad skill set while working in a fast-paced and supportive environment

 

About you:

Recent experience working in an Emergency Department and an acute care setting, demonstrating a solid understanding of the challenges and fast-paced nature of emergency and critical care. Your passion for providing high-quality, holistic care will guide your practice, as you focus on meeting not only the immediate medical needs of your patients but also their emotional and psychological well-being.

The ideal candidate will possess compassion and empathy, always approaching patients with kindness and a genuine desire to help. You will advocate for your patients, ensuring they are informed, supported, and empowered to make decisions about their care. Your ability to communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team will be key to delivering coordinated and comprehensive care, fostering a collaborative approach that enhances patient outcomes. This role requires someone who is both skilled and compassionate, able to provide expert care while making a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families.

  • *Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position. All payments made to part time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.   • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
  • To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
