About the role:

This role will see you provide compassionate patient-centred care within our Emergency Department, which holds 3 beds and operates 24/7. You will also have the opportunity to work in our 20-bed Medical and Surgical ward. 
You will be in charge of shifts when the Nurse Unit Manager and Health Service Manager are off site. To aid your success in this role, support is available from our Clinical Nurse Educator, Transitional Nurse Practitioner, Health Service Manager, and other senior staff.

Known as the 'nest in the hills', Quirindi is located in the picturesque Liverpool Plains, less than an hours' drive from Tamworth. The town is surrounded by stunning landscapes and picture-perfect sunflower fields.

Quirindi Health Service incorporates Quirindi Hospital and HealthOne Quirindi, which provides General Practice and Community Health services on site. These services all work in partnership to provide patient-centred and coordinated care to the local Liverpool Plains community.

About You:

We are looking for a passionate registered nurse with a commitment to caring for the community. You are a life-long learner and committed to evidence-based practice. You will possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. This role would suit someone who enjoys collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team. You will be competent and confident in your clinical skills, such as advanced life support, triage, cannulation, and catheter insertion, or you are willing to learn! We are happy to support the right candidate through gaining these skills.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

  • *Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position. All payments made to part time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.
