Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join the Emergency Department at Hawkesbury District Hospital. This role is pivotal in ensuring optimal outcomes for patients, clients, and their carers through the promotion of best practice and the appropriate escalation of care when needed.
As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary health team, using effective communication to plan, implement, assess, and evaluate patient care. You will act as an advocate for the diverse needs of all patients and clients, including those from Indigenous and multicultural backgrounds, ensuring culturally sensitive and appropriate care, particularly for those undergoing specialised procedures.
In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will provide support and mentorship to staff and students, fostering a positive learning environment. You will also be responsible for managing resources effectively to support the delivery of high-quality care.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in nursing as a Registered Nurse including completion of a new graduate Registered Nurse program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse. Recent experience working in an Intensive Care or Critical Care environment.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
- Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.
