Remuneration: $84,436 per annum - $112,331 per annum + super and annual leave loading
Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park (Other locations will be considered)

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Recovery unit is expanding at NSW Ambulance with an exciting opportunity in a newly created position. We are seeking dynamic individuals to assist injured workers undergoing medical treatment under their Workers Compensation claim. This crucial position will require you to coordinate and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure that injured workers are receiving evidence-based treatment that is reasonable and necessary under the legislation. This key role will provide technical advice and apply best practice interventions to progress claims to finalisation, whilst also fostering care and compassion for those recovering from injury. ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience and attributes:
- The successful candidate will be an experienced injury management professional, managing complex physical and psychological injuries.
- You will need to be a team player with the ability to work independently in a high demand role, working with key stakeholders to improve recovery outcomes for our injured workers.
- It is essential that you have a strong understanding of workers compensation legislation and how it is applied for exempt and non-exempt workers.
- You need to hold current Return to Work Certification and experience in the same.
Specifically:
- You are able to work within the parameters set and offer a balanced and strategic approach to your work. You are organised, structured in your working style, and strive to provide the highest quality of customer service to our customers.
- An experienced Recovery at Work Coordinator, passionate about returning people to health and work, you can work within processes and policies in a complex and changing environment.
- Taking a balanced, strategic, and proactive approach to your work, you can deliver positive outcomes for our customers and injured workers.
- Working collaboratively with the wider Recovery team and key stakeholders you will provide valuable input into current practices and process, with a view to achieving quality business outcomes.
