What you'll be doing
 
Undertake a full range of duties expected of the Radiation Therapist for the purpose of planning and delivering accurate and precise radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologists including patient care. The Radiation Therapist will play a pro-active role in the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimum and efficient delivery of service across the district.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications: Graduate of a course in Medical Radiation Science-Radiation Therapy, accredited by the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority,

Registration: Eligible for AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Therapist 

Licence: Eligible for EPA licensure by the Department of Environment and Climate Control NSW

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience in all aspects of radiation therapy, including Demonstrate excellent communication skills in written, oral and electronic formats
  2. Demonstrate knowledge and application of radiation therapy quality assurance and quality controls, including radiation safety measures in radiation therapy
  3. Demonstrated proven ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  4. Demonstrated interest in continuing professional development, research and quality improvement activities
  5. Demonstrated commitment to excellent patient care
