Selection Criteria

 

  1. Excellent written and inter-personal communication and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to actively participate in multi-disciplinary teams and interact with patients as required.
  2. Undergraduate degree in physics and completion of an ACPSEM accredited medical physics MSc course or substantial progress towards completion of a PhD.
  3. Eligible to enrol in ACPSEM radiation oncology physics TEAP.
  4. Prepared and able to work outside normal working hours to perform clinical and training duties.
  5. Demonstrated interest in research and evidence of initiative in problem solving as well as time and data management skills. Some experience with scripting or programming using common languages, for example MATLAB, Python or C++.
  6. High level of understanding of radiation dosimetry and physics and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical clinical situations.
  7. Hold or be eligible to hold NSW Radiation Licence IA29S and a current valid driver's licence.
  8. Eligible to work in Australia.
