What you'll be doing
The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.
The position provides support to the operational and strategic clinical quality systems for The Sutherland Hospital and Community Health Services by facilitating an organisational culture in which patient safety, risk management and clinical quality become an integral part of core business.

Selection Criteria:
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related field or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience that demonstrates a track record in quality, safety and risk management.
2. Extensive knowledge of contemporary issues in integrated clinical risk, patient safety and quality systems and standards used to monitor and evaluate health services, including the National Safety and Quality and Health Service Standards.
3. Demonstrated skills in managing a number of projects concurrently, with varying timeframes and workloads, in a high volume work environment.
4. Highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with clinical teams and senior management.
5. Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
6. Demonstrated experience in planning and evaluation at strategic and service levels.
7. Demonstrated skills in leadership and motivation with experience in mentoring, coaching and facilitating multi-disciplinary teams.
8. Proven data analysis skills and the ability to use computer technology effectively in order to collect, monitor and synthesise quantitative and qualitative data from core clinical quality and patient safety systems (e.g. IIMS).
