About the Opportunity

This position provides trauma informed, person-centred, evidence-based psychological assessment, diagnosis, case formulation, management and intervention to young people (12-25 years) and their families. You will be involved in participating in and promoting interdisciplinary management of clients and extensive liaison with internal and external agencies. You will also be participating in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services, assist in the development and provision of education and training programs, and will be expected to supervise other psychologists where appropriate. In this role, you will be expected to work collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary team at Youthblock and also engage in regular outreach at other locations within SLHD.

Ideal Candidate

  • Must hold either an undergraduate or post graduate degree in Psychology/Clinical Psychology (Masters, and/or Doctorate or PhD), and general registration with AHPRA. Eligibility for full membership of the APS and ACPA. 
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and significant experience in the provision of trauma informed, person-centred, evidence-based psychological interventions and case coordination to young people (12-25 years) and their families.
  • A current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
