The Provisional Fellow position in Paediatric Blood Transplant and Cellular Therapies (BTCT) at The Children's Hospital at Westmead is available for the 2026 Clinical Year, from 02 February 2026 to 31 January 2027. The position is accredited for advanced training and would be suitable for a candidate interested in a career in general or subspecialty training.
The position is an advanced clinical role within the Cancer Centre for Children, caring for the inpatients and outpatients of the BTCT Service at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. This senior role must show leadership in clinical excellence, as well as research and educational activities. This position provides an opportunity to develop skills important for a consultant role in the inpatient and outpatient setting, with support from the BTCT Consultants. The position is accredited for advanced training and would be suitable for a candidate interested in a career in general or subspecialty training.

Selection Criteria:
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Successful completion of both written and clinical components of the FRACP examination and completed a minimum 24 months as an advanced trainee with RACP at the commencement of Fellowship, or equivalent overseas qualifications.
- Extensive prior experience in Paediatric Oncology and Blood and Marrow Transplant.
- Completion of mandatory training as required by RACP.
- Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals.
- Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development and demonstrated ability to teach, and willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff.
- Understanding of research methodology or research experience and a willingness to undertake research proposal.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent time management, problem solving skills, clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
