Provisional Fellow positions in Paediatric Endocrinology are available at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick (SCH), and The Children's Hospital at Westmead (CHW)  for up to 24 months from 02 February 2026 to 6 February 2028.

The positions are accredited for advanced training and would be suitable for a candidate interested in a career in general or subspecialty training.

The Paediatric Endocrinology Provisional Fellow role provides care for patients and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings at a level of skill and autonomy consistent with Advanced Training in Paediatric Endocrinology. The role includes initial assessment of infants and children, rational use of investigations, ongoing management and monitoring progress, and organising timely discharge and appropriate follow up. 

This is an opportunity for Trainees who are subspecialising in Endocrinology and General Paediatric Trainees with a strong interest in Endocrinology to gain further training in Endocrinology across The Sydney Children's Hospitals Network (SCHN). Appointments will include experience across both SCHN sites with the timing and length at each site dependent on training requirements and SCHN requirements.

Selection Criteria:


  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.

  2. Registered with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians as an Advanced Trainee.

  3. At least 3 months clinical experience in Paediatric Endocrinology including experience in general inpatient and outpatient management and a demonstrated ability to identify and manage common endocrine conditions. Please provide details.

  4. Completion of mandatory developmental and psychosocial training as outlined by RACP or plan for completion. Please provide details.

  5. Demonstrated excellent understanding of current diabetes management and diabetes technologies, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

  6. Proven verbal and written communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with other health professionals. Please provide an example.

  7. Ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment. Please provide an example.

  8. Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development, including demonstrated experience/ability in teaching, quality and or research.
