- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent (Candidates expecting to sit the Part II FRACS exam in 2025 are encourage to apply)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised, complex clinical environment utilizing excellent clinical skills and judgment, particularly as they relate to managing critically injured patients.
- Demonstrated teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated interest in Trauma Surgery or Acute Surgery, with experience in the operative/non-operative management of life and limb-threatening injuries.
- EMST/ATLS currency preferably at Instructor level Demonstrated interest in education, and evidence of previous participation as an educator.
