About the Role:

We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Project Support Officer to join our dynamic team driving major hospital redevelopment initiatives.

This is a rare opportunity to support some of the most ambitious infrastructure and technology projects our district has ever undertaken - with systems, services, and clinical outcomes set to transform across the board.

You’ll work side-by-side with experienced project managers, offering critical administrative support across ICT-related streams - including procurement, stakeholder engagement, data management and briefing prep. Expect high stakes, fast pace, and big impact.

This role offers invaluable exposure to how hospitals tick - perfect for someone who thrives on complexity, adapts quickly, and knows their way around a spreadsheet, a status report, and a room full of stakeholders.

In this role, you'll:

  • Assist with end-to-end ICT project support tasks across multiple workstreams
  • Help coordinate procurement, tendering, purchasing, and reporting activities
  • Organise and support project meetings, briefings and documentation
  • Manage data collection and status reporting with a high level of computer literacy
  • Liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders from builders to clinicians
  • Provide flexible support across fast-moving, large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and play a key role in a once-in-a-generation redevelopment program

About You:

You’re a flexible, driven admin professional with a talent for multitasking and keeping pace with shifting priorities.

You’ve worked in complex environments before (ideally supporting large programs of work), and you bring exceptional communication skills, independence, and a team-first mindset.

Whether you’ve come from healthcare, corporate, or construction support roles, you’re organised, resilient, and not easily rattled when the pressure’s on.

You’ll Need:

  • Demonstrated experience providing high-level support across significant programs or projects
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to produce written communications (e.g. briefings, status reports, data entry)
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders - from technical teams to senior leaders
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently while remaining collaborative and team-oriented
  • Willingness to obtain a Construction Induction Card (White Card) and travel to project sites as needed
  • Full NSW driver’s licence (or equivalent)
  • Tertiary qualifications in project support/management are welcome but not essential.

Why Join Us?

  • This role gives you a front-row seat to the largest portfolio of capital works our district has ever seen. You’ll gain incredible insight into health infrastructure, ICT systems and the broader mechanics of major public sector projects - all while building relationships across construction, clinical, and corporate teams.
  • Full-time or flexible part-time/job share options considered
  • On-the-job learning and project immersion - no need to bring IT jargon
  • PPE and site access support provided (boots on us!)
  • A vibrant, inclusive team that values initiative and mutual support
  • Ongoing opportunities to grow within a future-focused team

Additional Information:

  • An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
