Project Officer Division of Women's, Children's & Family Health
The primary purpose of the of the Project Manager is to provide high level support for development and evaluation of the NSLHD Menopause Hub which commenced in 2024.
Royal North Shore Hospital is a nominated Menopause Hub site and the project officer supports the interface with internal and external stakeholders including clinical and support staff, hospital and District executive teams, Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) and NSW Health to meet objective outline in the model of care.
The secondary purpose of the Project Manager is to provide high level support for the Division of Women’s Children and Family Health to undertake quality improvement, data analysis and review of operational elements that would benefit from a structured project oversight. The Project Officer will be able to support the clinical departments of Paediatrics, Neonatology, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology and Clinical Genetics.
Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 30 June 2027 (with possibility of ongoing employment)

Remuneration: $2,436.82 - $2,768.26 per week

What you'll be doing
Work effectively and collaboratively with the DWCFH, RNSH Executive, Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), Executive ACI, other LHDs and other stakeholders.
Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope.
Identify timelines and key milestones and report on progress including escalating risks and issues as they arise.
Comply with Ministry of Health and NSLHD policies and procedures.
Provide timely, expert and professional support, including executive support services to committees/ groups as required by the project.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in a clinical or health management discipline and/or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in project management ensuring coordination of diverse inputs and achievement of optimal performance within an environment of conflicting priorities and tight timeframes.
- Excellent written, interpersonal communication and negotiation skills across a variety of levels and settings and an ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work, including effectively managing competing priorities.
- Experience with complex planning tasks, and the ability to ensure coordination of diverse inputs towards the achievement of project deliverables.
- High level of computer literacy including the use of the Microsoft Office suite and ability to confidently use health information systems.
