THE PURPOSE
The Shellharbour Integrated Child and Family Precinct will be a one-stop shop for families to access the developmental and early intervention services they need to ensure their young children get the best start in life. The Precinct will establish and support an important network of support services and infrastructure in the Shellharbour community, connecting parents, fostering a sense of community, and allowing families to support each other.

STATUS: Temporary Part-time; 32 hours per week (Until April 2026)
CLASSIFICATION: Health Services Manager (HSM level 3)

THE ROLE
The Project & Codesign Officer will reside in the surrounding area of Shellharbour and support the planning of the hub including the service model and ensure the use of codesign initiatives that engage the Shellharbour community. You will work closely with diverse key stakeholders to ensure that community voices are central to the design of the hub The role requires strong project management skills, the ability to work independently and a passion for inclusive community engagement and cultural sensitivity.
SELECTION CRITERIA: Please address the criteria below in your cover letter
1. Demonstrated experience leading co-design processes in community or social service settings
2. Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination and evaluation.
3. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practices.
4. Proven ability to engage respectfully and effectively with people from diverse cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
5. Have a sound understanding of the Shellharbour community and Child and Family key stakeholders Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
6. Experienced working with local government and community-based organisations.
7. Demonstrated high level computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to learn new applications.
8. Clear understanding of Business Transformation and how to lead the business from “what we do now” to “what we will be doing in the future”.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Temporary part-time position in accordance with the Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health-Employees-Agreement-FINAL-10-July-2019.pdf
2. Karitane services are provided at a number of sites within the Sydney Metropolitan and Regional NSW Areas.
3. The majority of Karitane services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave.
4. Karitane supports a smoke free environment including grounds, buildings and vehicles.
