About this role
The role is responsible for providing leadership on the development and implementation of maternity and newborn strategic programs, clinical policies and guidelines, in alignment with NSW Health priorities. The position will work closely with health service providers, other government agencies and key stakeholders, and supported by the Senior Clinical Advisors, Obstetrics and Neonatal, and other senior clinical advisors.

Crown Clerk 11/12, salary from $145,378 - $168,130 plus Super and annual leave loading.

What you'll be doing

  • The successful candidate will lead and manage the development and evaluation of strategic policies and projects/programs for the Ministry of Health, public health organisations, and related government agencies to support the achievement of NSW Health’s objectives within the Health and Social Policy portfolio.
  • The role is responsible for providing leadership on the development and implementation of maternity and newborn clinical policies and guidelines and programs, in alignment with NSW Health priorities. This portfolio includes maternity clinical policy areas such as perinatal loss and breastfeeding.

About you 
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with: 

  • Demonstrated relevant, professional experience in the area of health and social policy. 
  • Relevant tertiary midwifery qualifications. 
  • Significant experience in developing, implementing and evaluating maternity and newborn policy and clinical education in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders to deliver on complex maternity and newborn policy and program/project areas.
