Position Classification: Podiatrist Level 1 / Level 2
Remuneration: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour
Hours Per Week: 32

Chronic and Complex (CAC) Allied Health services focus on restoring, improving, or maintaining older people’s independent functioning and wellbeing. The focus of these services is assisting older people to regain or maintain physical, functional and cognitive abilities which support them to either maintain or recover a level of independence, allowing them to remain living in the community. This position works as a member of a Chronic and Complex multidisciplinary team.
CAC Podiatrists provide assessment, intervention/treatment and education for clients with foot care issues residing within the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). CAC Podiatrists are responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of clients including, but not limited to, assessment of falls risk and pressure injury risk.
CAC Podiatrists are expected to work from different locations across WSLHD as reasonably required, including in the client’s place of residence as well as in Community Health Centres.

- Registration: General Podiatry Registration with AHPRA Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Podiatry
Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Podiatry and current general Podiatry Registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated clinical experience and understanding of the needs of clients with chronic and complex health needs within a community context.
- Experience in Podiatry assessment, intervention and education.
- Demonstrated well developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
- Demonstrated involvement in quality improvement, evidence based practice and professional development activities.
- Suitable computer skills, including experience using CHOC Cerner eMR or equivalent.
- Current drivers licence valid within Australia and willingness to use for work purposes
