NBMLHD is looking for a Health Planner / Planning Project Officer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality, evidence-based plans that improve health outcomes for our communities. On offer, located at our Station Street Pebrith Office is Temporary Full time and Part Time roles.

As a Health Planner, you will support the planning and delivery of health services and infrastructure projects by conducting needs assessments, analysing data, engaging with stakeholders and contributing to strategic service planning. You will work on a diverse range of projects—ranging from clinical service reviews to capital works planning—and help ensure that NSW Health continues to meet the needs of our growing and changing population.

What you will bring to the role:

    1. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry experience in health service management, project management, business management or health related discipline.
  1. Demonstrated experience in strategic and/or business and/or service planning projects, preferably in a health planning environment.
  2. Ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally, across varying disciplines and levels (including senior management, clinicians, primary care, non-government organisations, community groups and community members), to achieve project goals.
  3. Demonstrated problem solving, conceptual thinking and analytical skills
  4. Excellent written communication skills, including experience in the preparation of project documentation, plans, briefing materials and reports.
  5. Demonstrated understanding or the ability to gain an understanding of the complex NSW Health planning environment and the ability to effectively operate and deliver in such an environment.
  6. Experience in considering and analysing data from multiple sources required to inform project approach and effective solutioning and decision making throughout projects.
  7. Demonstrated experience in a healthcare or related setting
