About the Opportunity

Are you a passionate and experienced Physiotherapist ready to take the next step in your career? Join our Age Care and Rehabilitation team as the Neurological Clinical Educator Physiotherapist (Level 4) and lead the future of physiotherapy through student supervision and education. This position is based in the Neurological Rehabilitation ward and works across the General Rehabilitation ward.

As the Clinical Educator, you will provide clinical leadership of physiotherapy students, foster excellence in physiotherapy education, and contribute to improved patient outcomes across care settings. What You'll be Doing

The Clinical Educator Physiotherapist is responsible for supervising student placements as well as leadership, management and development of student placements across the department. This includes providing clinical and administrative leadership, the monitoring of professional standards, workforce planning, clinical practice development, safety and quality and the development of, implementation and evaluation of physiotherapy care.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees. 
The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital.   1. Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Extensive clinical specialty experience including demonstrated advanced level of clinical knowledge and expertise in Neurological Rehabilitation Physiotherapy.
  3. Demonstrated extensive clinical education skills and experience including the management and coordination of student placements
  4. Demonstrated experience in providing clinical leadership, consultation, supervision and education for staff and/or students.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and ability to implement evidence based practice.
  6. Demonstrated leadership, skills and experience in the planning and implementation of quality improvement, research and service development activities.
  7. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build partnerships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team.
  9.  Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
