Pharmacy Manager - Broken Hill Health Service

This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.
To recognise ongoing service in this role, once the successful candidate has served a qualifying period, they will become entitled to a reoccurring Annual Retention Bonus valued up to $10,000 (as taxable income).

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Broken Hill Health Service Pharmacy department.
- Clinical supervision of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians/assistants,
- Management of staff, clinical pharmacist duties as required and management of any other medication safety/pharmacy related matters as delegated by the District Chief Pharmacist (such as safety alerts).

- Bachelor or Masters of Pharmacy with current unrestricted registration as a pharmacist with APRHA.
- Relevant clinical experience within a hospital pharmacy.
- Experience supervising staff and managing a service/team.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in quality improvement programs within hospital pharmacy systems.
