Patient Transport Officer / Driver - Moruya
Selection Criteria:
- Certificate III in Non-Emergency Client Transport (HLT30212) - applicants who hold this qualification will be employed under a Patient Transport Officer classification. Unqualified applicants can be employed under the Motor Vehicle Driver classification. Such employees commence and remain on this classification until they obtain formal qualifications through study or recognition of prior learning. The employee is responsible for obtaining formal qualifications in their own time and at their own expense.
- Current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This will involve driving long distances.
- Sound communication & Interpersonal skills, to communicate effectively and respectfully with health professionals about clinical matters (within the scope of the role) and to provide sensitive customer service to a diverse range of clients.
- Ability work both independently and collaborate effectively with others as a member of a team.
- Ability to accurately identify the ways in which Work Health and Safety legislation and policy applies to non-emergency patient transport.
- Ability to accurately plan and prioritise allocated responsibilities to effectively manage daily workloads and perform in high volume and pressured environments.
- Sound information and communication technology skills- in the use of computer hardware and software programs for word processing, emails, documentation, internet access and telephony.
- Ability to work rotating shifts with flexible hours and complete occasional transport trips with overnight stays.
