This is a wonderful opportunity for a Level 3 Speech Pathologist to provide high quality comprehensive speech pathology assessments and therapeutic intervention services to children referred to the Kids Hub service.

The position is based in the Kids Hub Intervention team and will be part of a multi-disciplinary community team of Medical, Nursing, Allied Health clinicians and other support positions. The Speech Pathologist will work collaboratively with other Kids Hub team members to achieve best clinical outcomes for a complex caseload.

This new service is part of a nation-wide roll out of Kids Hubs jointly funded by NSW Health and the Australian Government to provide early intervention mental health and wellbeing support for children up to the age of 12 years. The Kids Hub will be prioritizing referrals for vulnerable families and the intervention approach requires the child to be seen within the context of the family and their social support structures. The role will require a range of therapeutic approaches including provision of education, working directly with children or their parents/carers, group work and telehealth service provision.

The Kids Hub service will be based in Wollongong with outreach provided to the Shoalhaven area.

This is a temporarily funded position until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding.
